Main tasks

Providing legal advice to the departments on contract and general business law, in particular review, risk assessment, drafting and negotiation of national and international contracts and legal agreements (licensing law or IT law);

Ensuring proper management of contract files (contract management/procedure management);

Management or execution of all activities related to assigned, national and international, legal administrative acts in coordination with internal departments, external legal counsel and third parties, especially in the field of environmental law;

Representation of the organization in legal disputes, arbitration proceedings, mediations, or other disputes with third parties, courts, authorities, or other legal bodies;

Digitalization, improvement and optimization of processes and tools of contract and commercial law

Leadership and development of assigned staff;


University degree in law studies (fully qualified lawyer/2nd state examination), preferably with specialization as a specialist lawyer for contract law;

Several years of professional experience in an internationally operating legal department or in the area of contract and commercial law of an industrial company; medium-sized environment and/or corporate environment of a branded company (preferably production) in the FMCG segment – food and/or non-food ideal;

Relevant knowledge in dealing with courts and authorities, legal disputes and in managing external legal consultants/service providers;

Relevant knowledge of business fundamentals;

Leadership experience; relevant knowledge of MS 365 applications, including SharePoint, OneNote; very high affinity and quick grasp of technical and legal processes, procedures, methods, tools, information technology, IT systems and applications;

Good communicator (m/f/d) with confident command of English and German, strong verbal skills for target-group and recipient-oriented communication; entrepreneurial thinking and acting; designer; change agent, diplomacy, and persuasiveness; commitment & implementation strengths;
